Can you believe it!

Jesus tells us in the book of Matthew chapter 24 vs. 6 concerning the last days,
"You shall hear of wars and rumours of wars, see that you are not troubled for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet."

I found this to be a sad study of human history when looking at war historically and the ones we face today. Since the early days of creation, mankind has experienced disagreements, dissension and conflicts. It is puzzling really, when we were all created in the image and likeness of our Creator and we all have a common goal here on earth.

The stark reality and the very reason for every war is recorded in Genesis one.

At the very time mankind was being nurtured in the beautiful garden of Eden, there erupted a war (the first war) between Lucifer—the angel tasked with keeping the earth safe and peaceful—and our Creator, God.

As a result of that war, Satan was cast to the earth, eternally humiliated and vengeful. From that point on, he began to manifest his wrath against the One who had vanquished him, by perpetrating sin and subsequent violence upon the Adam race. God's tender, pure and perfect creation of mankind would never again be the same.

Throughout recorded history, we see the results of our sins being passed down from generation to generation.

Greed, jealousy, covetousness, fear, intimidation, bullying and the love of money

These all lead to dissension and wars and there have been countless wars throughout history.

This brings us to today. According to the prophetic timeline, we are clearly entering the end times narrative of the Bible. This takes us back to the Matthew 24 record where Jesus tells us what to look for in this season of time.

When I studied Wikipedia's list of wars throughout the ages, I was astounded at the shear number of conflicts. It is truly mind boggling!

But what startled me the most was looking at the number of simultaneous active wars and conflicts there are today and the fearsome potential of any of these wars to exterminate all of mankind. It doesn't take a genius to realize that the same old perpetrator of sin and war is still active.

Now don't panic -
The Word of God tells us there will be wars and rumours of wars but this is not the end, remember the verse in Matthew 24: 6.

The purpose of this study is to be reminded that, as always, prophecy is right on cue. Let's look at the crazy and dangerous dissensions that are perpetrated upon the world today. I say perpetrated because the Prince of the Power of the Air is always behind war. He is still trying to hurt and destroy God's beautiful Adam race, and as the spirit of the anti-christ rises in this time, you will see even more of his wrath. On the safe side, God's people will be protected from Satan's devious plans.

2021: What do we have today?

Today, we have a number of nation states who have nuclear weapons capability—United States, Russia, United Kingdom, France, China, North Korea, India, Pakistan and Israel. There are also many others that have the ability to borrow these weapons if the need arises. The number of actual nuclear weapons (as recorded in 2019) stands at 13,865 but more than 90% of these are owned by Russia and the United States. (Good thing these two countries are such good friends, wouldn't you say!)

Prior to the age of gunpowder, weapons consisted of sharp objects and hurtled stones. Today, however, we have a whole new arsenal of destructive devices consisting of explosives, projectiles, biological, chemical, nuclear and radiological weapons. Fun for the whole family!

In days past, there were often wars and skirmishes recorded every few years around the world. However, today we have 132 official wars and 8 active military conflicts in progress. (Remember the prophecy . . .)

The four ongoing conflicts with the highest number of casualties (at least 10,000 deaths per year) are the Syrian Civil War, the civil war in South Sudan, the war in Afghanistan, and the Mexican Drug War. Those with more than 1,000 deaths include the Yemeni Civil War, the Somali Civil War, the Kurdish-Turkish conflict, conflicts in Nigeria, the war in Darfur, the Boko Haram insurgency, the Libyan crisis, the Sinai insurgency, the South Kordofan conflict and the South Sudanese Civil War. Beyond this is the ever complex war with terrorists throughout the world like ISIL and Al-Qaeda. And, we're not discussing cold wars here.

Overall there are about 225 countries experiencing war or conflict of some degree. So wouldn't you agree that Jesus might just be right when He gave that prophecy in Matthew 24?

Again, I must assert that this may sound like bad news, and it certainly isn't heartwarming news but the Bible details what will occur and what we as followers of Jesus actually will have to look forward to.

You see, along with all of the wars today, lawlessness abounds across the world (as recorded in prophecy); lies, murder, violence, sexual sin, abortion (sacrifice of our unborn babies) grand theft, ungodliness, occult worship and on and on it goes. There will be a time very soon though, that God will say "ENOUGH" and on that day He will take His family, the church, the followers of Jesus off the earth.

This will occur in a way that every eye will see it happen.

"By the word of the Lord, we declare to you that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a loud command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will be the first to rise. After that, we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will always be with the Lord.…" 1 Thessalonians 4:15 -17

After this, God will begin to bring about what prophecy calls "The Great Tribulation". This is a wake up call for all those people who love their sins and have no interest in knowing the Lord. This is not the final judgement or punishment for sinners. This is a compassionate Father doing whatever it takes to bring His rebellious children to repentance and save them from the judgement.

"For then there will be great distress, unequalled from the beginning of the world until now—and never to be equalled again." Matthew 24:21

This is the good news we all look forward to.

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. John 14:27

Vanquished yet again !!

And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulphur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever. Revelation 20:10

Regarding the indo-China conflict that we see stressing the nations bordering on the South China Sea I like what the US Defence Secretary Lloyd Austin has said:

"The strategic competition in the Indo-Pacific is not between our two nations, it is a competition between liberty -- the fundamental idea behind a free and open Indo-Pacific -- and authoritarianism, the absence of liberty and the objective of the Communist Party of China," Davidson said. "This competition does not have to put us on the road to conflict. Our number one job is to keep the peace, and to do that, we must be prepared to fight and win."

Israel in Prophecy

The Roman army conquered Jerusalem in 63 BC.

Israel continued under Greco-Roman rule until the 7th. century AD when it was conquered by Arab Muslim Empires for the next six centuries. It remained predominantly Muslim after the Crusader period of 1099 - 2191 and was part of Syria until 1516 when conquered by the Ottoman empire until the British conquest in 1917-18. The land of Israel remained under British rule until 1948.

The Prophecy:

God revealed to the prophet Ezekiel in chapter 37 that Israel would be once again rebuilt in the latter days:

"Then He said to me, 'Son of man, these bones represent the people of Israel. They are saying, 'We have become old, dry bones - all hope is gone.' Now give them this message from the Sovereign Lord: O my people, I will open your graves of exile and cause you to rise again. Then I will bring you back to the land of Israel. When this happens, O my people, you will know that I am the Lord."

At this point it is prudent to remember that WW II had just ended and the attempted complete annihilation of God's people and the holocaust was fresh on the minds of the remaining Jewish people. Ezekiel's dry bones prophecy came to life on May 14th. 1948.

The fig tree generation

will not pass away until all things prophesied in Matthew 24, Mark 13 and Luke 21 are fulfilled.

"Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and puts forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh. So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. Verily I say unto you, this generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled."
Matthew 24:32-34:

In the Bible the fig tree represents the nation of Israel.

According to Jesus the "fig tree" was to be barren, cursed and replanted.

"He (Jesus) spoke also this parable; 'A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came and sought fruit thereon, and found none. Then said he unto the dresser of his vineyard, Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why does it use up the ground? And he, answering, said unto him, Lord, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung it. And if it bear fruit, well; and if not, then after that you shall cut it down.'' "Luke 13:6-9.

For the three years Jesus was in the land of Israel Jesus looked for spiritual fruits but Israel was spiritually barren, which is the reason He said, ‘Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none’.

The vine dresser ordered the tree to be cut down.

In 70 AD the Romans annihilated the land of Israel and destroyed the temple and their religious freedom withered away.

"And when He saw a fig tree in the way, He came to it, and found nothing thereon, but leaves only, and said unto it, 'Let no fruit grow on thee henceforward forever.' And presently the fig tree withered away."
Matthew 21:19

Israel scattered to the nations

"Son of man, when the house of Israel dwelt in their own land, they defiled it by their own way and by their doings: their way was before Me as the uncleanness of a removed woman. Wherefore I poured my fury upon them for the blood that they had shed upon the land, and for their idols wherewith they had polluted it. And I scattered them among the heathen, and they were dispersed through the countries: according to their way and according to their doings I judged them."
Ezekiel 36:17-19

"For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land."

The fig tree replanted

Jesus prophesied, 'Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near."

"Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and you shall be clean; from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you. A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you; and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and you shall keep my judgments, and do them."
Ezekiel 36:25-27

The physical, national restoration of Israel has now happened and the spiritual restoration will take place at the return of Christ.

On May 14th, 1948 Israel once again became a sovereign nation, thus bringing the fig tree back to life and putting forth tender branches and leaves.

Does this mean we know when Christ will return?

"But of that day and hour knows no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only."
Matthew 24:36

"Remember therefore how you have received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore you shall not watch, I will come on you as a thief, and you shall not know what hour I will come upon you." (Jesus)
Revelation 3:3

The prophecy of Israeli military power

"You will pursue your enemies, and they will fall by the sword before you. Five of you will chase a hundred, and a hundred of you will chase ten thousand, and your enemies will fall by the sword before you."
Leviticus 26: 7 ff.

The prophecy of Israel's fortunes restored

"Then the Lord your God will restore your fortunes and have compassion on you and gather you again from all the nations where He scattered you. Even if you have been banished to the most distant land under the heavens, from there the Lord your God will gather you and bring you back. He will bring you to the land that belonged to your fathers, and you will take possession of it. He will make you more prosperous and numerous than your fathers."
Deuteronomy 30:3-5

This prophecy began to be realized during the 1800's when many Jews returned to Israel, some from as far away as China, the United States, Russia and South Africa.

Today, Israel is among the world's most prosperous countries with a GDP twice as much as their surrounding neighbours.

British ships shall bring the Jewish people home

And the sons of strangers shall build up your walls, and their kings shall minister unto you: for in My wrath I smote you but in My favour have I had mercy on you.

Therefore your gates shall be open continually; they shall not be shut day nor night; that men may bring unto you the wealth of the Gentiles, and that their kings may be brought.

For the nation and kingdom that will not serve Israel shall perish; yes, those nations shall be utterly wasted."
Isaiah 60:9-12

Israel transformed from a desert to an agricultural marvel

Agriculture in Israel is a well developed industry, making it a major exporter of fresh produce and a world leader in agricultural technologies. This might seem strange seeing that more than half the land area is desert and the climate and lack of water do not favour farming, but God prophesied that the land would become agriculturally productive and feed the countries around them.

"He shall cause them that come of Jacob to take root: Israel shall blossom and bud, and fill the face of the world with fruit."
Isaiah 27:6

I will open rivers in high places, and fountains in the midst of the valleys: I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water.

I will plant in the wilderness the cedar, the shittah tree, and the myrtle, and the oil tree; I will set in the desert the fir tree, and the pine, and the box tree together:

Is God finished with Israel?

Today, there is a movement among Christians saying that God is finished with Israel and Christianity has taken the place of Israel. This is known as Replacement Theology and it is WRONG.

As you can see from the many prophecies listed above, this is definitely not true. More than 2,600 years ago, God told the prophet Ezekiel that He planned to regather the Jews from the four corners of the earth where they had been scattered and bring them back to the land of Israel. (see Ezekiel chapter 37)

God told Abram (Abraham) that all the families on earth will be blessed by him. (Genesis 12: 1-3)

Soon, very soon you will see Israel receive the Holy Spirit of God when they finally recognize that Christ really was the long awaited Messiah of the Jewish people.

"Then I will pour out a spirit of grace and prayer on the family of David and on the people of Jerusalem. They will look on Me whom they have pierced and mourn for Him as for an only son. They will grieve bitterly for Him as for a firstborn son who has died."
Zechariah 12:10

The Messiah Returns

Unquestionably the biggest and most exciting event in the history of mankind is about to take place.

"Then the Lord will go out to fight against those nations, as He has fought in times past. On that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, east of Jerusalem. And the Mount of Olives will split apart, making a wide valley running from east to west. Half the mountain will move toward the north and half toward the south. You will flee through this valley, for it will reach across to Azal. Yes, you will flee as you did from the earthquake in the days of King Uzziah of Judah. Then, the Lord my God will come, and all His holy ones with Him."
Zechariah 14:3-5

This is the very reason for this website, that everyone will recognize the signs of these times for what they really are, sure signs of the imminent return of the Son of God.

A United Europe - A revived Roman Empire

What has the Roman Empire got to do with the return of Jesus?

Outside of Israel becoming a nation once again in 1948, the revival of the old Roman Empire is one of the greatest fulfillments of end time Bible prophecy.

As you consider what I've written here, be cognitive of the symbolism; it often tells a story that isn't being vocalized.

The Bible talks about the fourth world empire rising in the last days. Since the Greek empire there have been smaller empires that attempted to rise up but never lasted and never had all the qualifications of "The Fourth Great Empire" as described in Daniel chapters two and seven.

The first three kingdoms and the first phase of the fourth kingdom are all past. What is still to come is the second phase of the fourth kingdom, or the revived Roman Empire. Daniel chapter 7 speaks of the rise of a ten-horned phase of the fourth kingdom, which represents the Antichrist’s kingdom during the Tribulation.

At this point in time, then, the final phase of the fourth world empire readily appears to be the European Union. I'll show you what I mean.

Since the fourth kingdom will be the kingdom of the Anti-Christ you might expect to see some relative symbolism as a clue. Let's have a look.

From the image of the EU building above, you will immediately notice the very obvious resemblance to the biblically famed Tower of Babel as shown below.

The EU motto is: "Many tongues, one voice." Where have you read that before? Remember Babel, it was cursed by God!

"And they said, 'Go, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.' And the LORD came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men had built. Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the LORD then confounded the language of all the earth: and from that time did the LORD scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth."

Now, if you were forming the European Union . . . would you fashion your parliament building after such a notoriously evil symbol? Well, here it is in living colour and it begs us to discover why. EU promoters will tell you that the shape of the building reflects the unfinished nature of Europe. I would suggest that this is one of the "signs of the time of Christ's return" that Jesus compels us to watch for. This thing is a "hint" of the coming of the antichrist as you will soon see.

Notice that the stars in their official poster are reversed pentagrams. A reverse pentagram refers to evil ruling. There are 12 stars, which corresponds to the woman of the apocalypse who appears with a crown of 12 stars found in Revelation chapter 12.

In these last days before Christ returns, we are increasingly aware of new signs of His nearness and many not-so-subtle hints of the rise of the anti-christ. This building is one of those not-so-subtle hints.

You see, the European Union is rapidly fulfilling the prophecy of the revived Roman Empire, which is the final worldly kingdom of human history. This kingdom will reportedly give rise to an ecumenical and apostate religion (a mix of all religions), a global government and a new global economy.

Rising from this last kingdom will be the most diabolical, evil dictator ever known to man, the antichrist.

Anyone with an eye on the Bible and an ear on the news is noticing the many trends toward this developing system.

The Prophecy

In the Bible Daniel tells us what to expect.

These were the four kingdoms as recorded.

BABYLON from 612–539 BC represented by the head of gold Chapter 2:32 and a lion having the wings of an eagle Daniel 7:4

MEDO-PERSIA from 539–331 BC represented by the upper body of silver Chapter 2:32 and a bear Chapter 7:5

GREECE from 331–63 BC represented by the belly and thighs made of bronze Chapter 2:32 and a leopard with four wings and four heads Chapter 7:6

ROMAN From 63 BC—AD 476; the the first phase of this kingdom is represented by legs of iron Chapter 2:33 and an unspecified beast with iron teeth and bronze claws Chapter 7:7. Then the final phase is described as feet and toes that are a mixture of iron and clay Chapter 2:41-43, as well as ten horns or ten kings and “another” Chapter 7:24-25

The Fourth Kingdom

"After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and broke it in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it; and it had ten horns. I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things."
Daniel 7:7-8

So, Daniel says the fourth beast will be the fourth kingdom on the earth which shall be different than all the rest in that it will devour the whole earth, tread it down and break it to pieces. The ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise - then, another one, a smaller one shall rise after them and he shall subdue three kings.

The fourth beast in all ways appears to be a revival of the Roman Empire and the 10 horns are its member nations. The little horn we don't yet see, but will be speaking great words and then rises up and conquers three nations.

From this kingdom will arise a global system of apostate religion as well as global politics and economics. The antichrist will temporarily rule over the entire earth during the first three and one-half years of the Great Tribulation. (See how close we really are!)

The book of Revelation confirms this:

"And the ten horns which you saw are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast. These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast.”
Revelation 17:12-13

Ten Member Nations

Now, Europe encompasses some twenty-seven member nations. Out of its member nations, ten nations, known as the Western European Union have a separate and unique status as "full" members while the others have what is called an associate membership called an observer status. Symbolically, there are 10 rings on the European building and 10 rings on the second statue of the woman on the beast.

The woman and the beast

In Strasbourg, France you will find, in the EU parliamentary building, a mural of a naked woman riding a beast. Also in the new Brussels headquarters of the Council of Europe you will also find a bronze statue of a woman riding a beast and the beast is shown riding on waves. See Revelation 17.

There are 12 stars on the European flag which appear to correspond to the 12 stars in the crown of the woman riding the beast. Revelation 17. Of course, if you do some research here, you will find that some scholars think that the woman is the Catholic Church, Rome or even the United States. I am not drawing any definitive conclusions here but I believe there are real clues in the symbolism.

"So, He carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sitting upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication: And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.
Revelation 17:3-5.

When Great Britain issued a stamp to commemorate the second European Parliament election, the picture on the stamp was this symbol of a woman on a beast.

The Constitution of the European Union

The hints get stronger as we look at the EU constitution, which, by the way, doesn't mention their Christian heritage but happily includes references to the Greek and Roman civilizations and the philosophical heritage of enlightenment. (The Age of Enlightenment was a philosophical movement that dominated the world of ideas in Europe in the 18th century—centred on the idea that reason is the primary source of authority and legitimacy)

Despite what some writers have said, claiming that Christianity is banned as a religion in the constitution, here is what I found.

1. "Everyone has the right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion. This right includes freedom to change religion or belief, and freedom, either alone or in community with others and in public or in private, to manifest religion or belief, in worship, teaching, practice and observance."

There are 679 seats in the parliament, each assigned to a particular lawmaker. I find it interesting that seat number 666 is is unallocated and not occupied!

The EU Anthem

The anthem, "Ode To Joy" lyrics were written by Friedrich von Swiller. The anthem speaks of this age of enlightenment, bringing peace and prosperity by the power of man.

The European Union does seem to fulfill most of the prophecies that describe the fourth kingdom which is to come, but we are encouraged by the Lord to watch and discern the signs of the times.

Anything could happen yet, but it seems from my research that much of the Scripture referring to the rise of the Anti-Christ may come after the rapture of the church.

"And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh" Luke 21:28.

When we view the world around us today and puzzle at all that is coming upon the earth, we find ourselves increasingly troubled with more questions than answers.

Besides the evident weather, geological and astronomical changes we see, the most disconcerting are the societal changes of wide spread lawlessness and deception.

If you don't follow the Bible you will never have a logical answer to all that is coming.

All this was foretold many years ago and when you do follow the Bible, you will be better informed to give an answer to those who are living in fear of what is coming upon the earth.

The Lord is not slow in keeping His promise, as some understand slowness. Instead He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.

But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything in it will be laid bare.

Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to live holy and godly lives as you look forward to the day of God and speed its coming. That day will bring about the destruction of the heavens by fire, and the elements will melt in the heat. But in keeping with His promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, where righteousness dwells.

So then, dear friends, since you are looking forward to this, make every effort to be found spotless, blameless and at peace with Him. 1 Peter 3

The Concept of this website is to provide answers where we can, and to encourage you to search out trustworthy references where you may find answers for yourself.

We don't want you to dwell on disaster or all the terrible things that you see in the news. We want you to be aware that this was planned long ago and it brings with it good news—the good news of Christ's return and His promise of a new kingdom, (a heavenly world or dimension) where there is no sorrow, no pain and no tears.

Most Christians are aware that their close relationship with Jesus, Son of God is key to being ready for His return.

In the parable of the ten virgins in Matthew 25, Jesus warns us to be ready, not be caught sleeping at His return but to be found busy doing His will.

This would remind us to do a soul search and repent of any sin that inhibits our relationship with our Saviour.

Be aware and watching for the signs of His return. There are several good Prophecy watch websites that give some up-to-date news that relates to the signs of Christ's return.

Study the Scripture, not only so that you know what is coming next, but to be able to explain to others what is happening in this world.

Expect the man of lawlessness: Expect wide spread deception.

2 Thessalonians 2:3 "Let no one deceive you in any way. For that day will not come, unless the rebellion comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction."

This Scripture tells us that indeed the Church will fall away from their Lord, so we can expect this. Is your church falling asleep? Do you see people who are apathetic regarding the return of the Saviour? Does your pastor teach people what is coming and how to be ready?

Stand Firm:
2 Thessalonians 2:15 "May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and by His grace gave us eternal encouragement and good hope, encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good deed and word."

Expect the return of Christ, just like He promised.
1 Thessalonians 4:16 “For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.”

Prominent Signs
In Matthew chapter 24, Jesus explains some of the signs that we should watch for.

Scoffers will come in the last days. We have this today.

There will be unprecedented wars and rumours of wars. We have this today.

Expect persecution of the church. This is widespread and evident today.

There will be signs in the sun and moon and stars. Things will be different, things will change.

As the son of lawlessness, the AntiChrist, begins to reveal himself we will see a change in peoples' behaviour. There will be more crime, more lies and many will fall away from the truth. Immorality will be rampant, human life from conception to old-age will be worthless, occult practices will be more accepted and people will move away from traditional Judeo-Christian teaching. You will see the devil trying to normalize occult teaching and practices and then, as we are lulled into this dangerous state of consciousness, we will begin to see physical manifestations of Satan asserting his influence upon the world. This will be seen in books and movies, in anti-Christian and anti-Semitic movements, in deep racial unrest and open demonstration of occult symbolism and practices.

Jesus tells us to expect famine, pestilences (like Covid 19) and earthquakes all over the place. We have this also today. Ungodly scientists tell us that this is a result of global warming or climate change caused by industry but Jesus tell us to expect these changes as signs of His return.

Then the Lord tells us not to fear:

"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. "– Joshua 1:9

Jesus is worried that we might be deceived.
He warns us that if it appears that He has arrived on earth, in the desert or in some other place, THAT IS NOT JESUS! When the Lord does come again He will appear in the sky like lightning coming from the East to the West. He will take His people with Him but will not be touching down at this time.

And, don't believe anyone who says they know the day of His return. God says that nobody knows, not even the angels in heaven! Jesus only tells us to know the season of His return.

Lastly, in Matthew 24 Jesus warns us not to look back when He takes us up to heaven. Don't even turn to grab your jacket or any valuables out of your house.

Once Christ takes His family up to heaven the Great Tribulation will proceed.

Believe me, you do not want to be left behind for this event. You can study this in the Bible.

And that repentance for forgiveness of sins would be proclaimed in His name to all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem.

Has the call gone out to all nations? Yes

Has the Gospel been made available in all nations? Yes

Have everyone of the people groups been reached? No

One of the signs prior to Jesus’ return would be that this gospel, the one Jesus’ brought (Mark 1:15), would be preached to all nations, and then the end would come.

That doesn’t mean all people in these nations have heard the gospel, but the gospel has now gone into all nations when you think about the reach that radio has had, as well as satellites, the Internet (where available), or other wireless devices. Add to these the work of missionaries and Bible tracts that have been distributed worldwide, so on the surface at least, it appears that all nations have been reached. Again, all nations do not mean all people in all nations, since that is logistically impossible.

According to the Joshua project There are 17,459 people groups, out of these there are 7,422 yet unreached people groups. If we research these people groups we would find that many groups simply have closed doors to Christianity.

According to Wikipedia, (United Bible Societies) The Bible has been translated into more than 3,324 languages and a number into sign languages as well. According to Wycliffe Bible Translators, by 2017, 3,312 languages had access to at least a book of the Bible. 1,521 language groups had at least the New Testament. Wycliffe reports that there are currently around 2,584 languages which have active Bible translation projects.

Rise in Socialism

In Canada the first thing that comes to mind when we think of Socialism is our national & provincial NDP parties, which are a government Socialist system. Socialism actually, stems back to the philosopher Plato in 360 BC. and the 1789 French Revolution. Then, as Socialism morphed into Communism and then Nazism, we remember famed leaders of evil regimes like Karl Marx and Friedrich Engles or Joseph Stalin, Vladimir Lenin, Adolph Hitler and Mao Zedong. There have been many others, to be sure, but we need to focus on what happens when a country embraces Socialism.

A socialist utopia:

Socialism is supposed to be a system that shares economic output equally throughout the population.

It supposedly values the collective well-being of the community, rather than individuals.

The government promises to distribute resources, giving it greater control over its citizens. In other words, you will own nothing and work for the state for a small, heavily taxed wage.

The problem is, you can vote Socialism into power, but since it is a one-party government, you always have to fight to remove it.

So, today in Canada we see the Liberal Party rapidly embracing and promoting Socialism and a one-party rule. In the US, the Democrats are doing exactly the same thing.

Why is this happening?

The Bible does not use the phrase “one-world government” or “one-world currency” in referring to the end times. It does, however, provide ample evidence to enable us to draw the conclusion that both will exist under the rule of the Anti-christ in the last days. (More)

The Anti-Christ will promote a socialist One World Order

1. From infancy to the grave, a socialist government controls everything and has complete control over the people.

2. Socialism always replaces God with government and always promotes anti-theism and atheism. Socialism seeks to deny the existence of God but worship the state or the government, soon to be the Anti-Christ.

3. Socialism always comes to power by delivering services that make citizens dependent upon the government.

4. It is a two-class society, those dependent on the government and those who rule.

Our young people in college and university are being taught that Socialism is a preferred form of government, but we should ask the people of the former Soviet Union or those who suffered under Mao or Stalin or present day North Korea or Venezuela what they would advise.

Increase in Pornography

The Anti-Christ is deeply evil and the author of original sin. If you read my article "The Prince of Panic" you will see that the devil actually caused God's new race of humans to sin as a way of retalliating because he lost the war with God. So, we see that Satan is obsessed with evil in every area of the human existence. By drawing humans further into sin he attempts to hurt his old adversary, God.

As the spirit of the Anti-Christ grows, we will see more and more heinous crimes against humans simply because "Humanity" is made in the image of God.

I am an old military man with 10 years of service in the Canadian Armed Forces. As such, I am always interested in the latest military hardware and strategic capabilities. For interest sake I keep a digital record of the latest fighter jets, ships and artillery from forces across the globe. Lately I have sensed a deep, sick feeling in my stomach as I review what is being developed by powerful militaries around the world.

Do some research yourself and ask; Why would we need a torpedo that can travel 120 miles an hour and destroy a city the size of New York? Why do we need inter-continental ballistic missiles that can travel 7,000 miles an hour and reach from Russia to the USA? Why do we need nuclear bombs that can decimate a whole continent? Why do we tolerate North Korea who is aiming 15,000 cannons and rocket launchers targeting Seoul in South Korea, only 35 miles away? And why does a single carrier group have the fire power to completely decimate a whole country the size of Iran in a single afternoon? And finally, why do world governments allow the funding of terrorist groups like the Iranian National Guard, ISIS and Hamas to kill those they don't understand? And why do we tolerate the pay-for-slay policy that Palestinians have where they get paid to kill a Jew? This is nothing short of the influence of the spirit of the anti-christ.

Besides this, we need to consider the many serious tensions that could easily escalate into a nuclear war.

Some weeks Israel suffers a thousand rocket attacks from hostile neighbours and Iran would love nothing better than to wipe them off the map.
Turkey is at odds with Russia and is planning a global caliphate, encouraging mass murder, rape and destruction.
Russia is preparing to take over the Ukraine, which will draw NATO and the US into a serious battle.
Pakistan has been threatening India and other countries in the region.
China is threatening India, Japan, the US, numerous islands, Australia, Taiwan and the Philippines. There is great tension in the Indo-Pacific because of this. China has openly declared their intention to take over the world and has openly threatened to destroy Australia.
North Korea holds South Korea at ransom and threatens the US with war.
Iran continues to threaten Israel with extinction and defies NATO and the United States.
Nigeria is constantly in conflict with terrorists. Many churches were burned and many, many christians murdered by Boko Haram and the Falni Herdsman in Nigeria in 2020.

And the list gets longer and longer and most of the list above names countries that have nuclear weapons.

As you have read in my earlier articles, the Bible tells us that there will be an increase in wars and rumours of war in the last days. Matthew 24:6

Wars are nothing short of the Anti-Christ's plan to de-populate the world.

The Anti-Christ hates the Jewish people because God chose this particular people to make Himself known in the world. Many times in the past, Satan tried to destroy the Jewish race and failed. Well, he is a slow learner because we see him up to his old tricks once again, but today it is world wide and gaining speed.

The bible tells us that the anti-christ will succeed in positioning himself on the throne when the Third Temple is built. He still wants to be God and will sit as God on the throne. (For a very short time) Meanwhile we see the Leftist governments around the world, including Canada and the Untied States moving against Jews and Christians.

I am sure this column was as difficult for you to read as it was for me to write.

But here is the GOOD NEWS. . . when the spirit of the Anti-Christ rises, we are very near the return of Christ. God will not tolerate this depth of evil for very long before He comes for His church and the children, before He brings the rest of the world into judgment with the Great Tribulation.

Be encouraged, Jesus is near, even at the door.

For some time Hollywood and the movie industry have been fixated on the end of the world. Why at this time in history are people so interested in apocalyptic events?

Besides this list there are numerous other end times movies. Most speak of alien invasion, a world wide pandemic destroying the earth, the rise of Artificial Intelligence that destroys mankind, an apocalyptic event like a meteor impact that will destroy the world. Then there are the many, many stories of man destroying his own planet through industrial greed. Even the movie Superman refers to this.

Influenced by Eastern religions, many films depict that the earth is actually a god-like entity or a force who will exterminate any plague of mankind that threatens her existence.

Where can we find the real truth? There are so many compelling voices!

We all have our methods of determining the truth but, since I'm the author here, let me show you what I do.

I go back to the beginning. This is the professional, scientific way of deducing evidence. One needs to have a solid, proven baseline to base all your research data on. A scientist, detective or researcher always compares the unknown with the known to determine its validity.

This is why I turn to the original" Bible. I say original here because there are cults that have changed the Bible's text and meaning. There are, however, a few good translations of varying degrees of academic accuracy. The old King James Version is often used as the most accurate translation into English but I prefer The New American Standard Bible or the New King James Bible. These last two do a wonderful job of translating the original Greek and Aramaic languages into our modern English. I'm told that the Mandarin Chinese bible is extremely accurate.

The Bible begins at the beginning of the earth and mankind as we know it. The Bible explains away all the myths, the lies, the movie prognostication and theoretical ideas that we find in the movies.

You have to start with a baseline, and the Bible is the baseline for mankind. It is the story of man and this earth documented over 4000 years by over 40 authors, all with the same relationship with the Creator. This is the most credible source we have and is the most proven baseline to base our research upon.

Now, I'm sure, at this point, you may be saying "Naw this is just religion."

Okay, you can say that because I know that you know many people who are "just" religious. This is true. BUT… beyond religion there is the truth that God does exist (very scientific actually). And, there are millions of people who are not simply religious. They have a real live, loving, intimate relationship with their Creator.

I see these people as not religious traditionalists but as members of the actual family of God.They know the truth, they are like God in their manner and thinking and they are exceptional in their character because they are influenced by the Creator.

Now, using the Bible as a baseline—a known—we see that it is very scientific, very credible, very trustworthy and is, in fact, the only "manual" that the Creator has left us to base our thinking and morality on.
